As the Ministry Director, F. Dorsey Houston has over 25 years of experience working as a Chief Paralegal, Law Firm Investigator, Private Investigator, Loss Prevention Agent, Security Field Training Officer and Multi-Unit Operations Manager, including over (15) years serving as a Pastor's Assistant and in a Church Security Ministry.


In 1983 God called him into the preached ministry, 1993 he was licensed and begin to grow in ministry. After years of study of under several Pastor/Teachers from Virginia Union University School of Theology he was ordained in 1995 at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. F. Dorsey Houston has been very active in the Prison, Men's and Outreach Ministry with a focus on Evangelizing. After spending many seasons with the Lord, maturing in his walk, God moved him to Richmond, Virginia to learn and grow more in the word. While there he was able to study different ministries and ministry leaders; God made it possible for him to walk in the direction of his calling by starting his ministry with a focus on servant hood, especially in a church security and safety ministry.

 

He has complete several Federal Department of Homeland Security (FEMA) National Incident Management Systems courses. These courses are design to prepare the emergency responder how to manage, coordinate and successfully handle a Mass Casualty Incident. He currently hold or has held memberships in a number of state and corporate organizations to include; the, (CERT) Community Emergency Response Team Members, (ATLA) Association of Trial Lawyers of America, (Paralegal Affiliate), (NFPA) National Association of Paralegals Associations, Inc.,(IFPO) International Foundation for Protection Officers, (IACSP) International Association for Counterterrorism & Security Professionals, (SCS) Shopping Center Security Terrorism Awareness Training Program, and an Alumni of Blackstone School of Law, Legal Assistant/Paralegal Program,(specializing in Civil & Tort Litigation) & Ashworth University where he studied Security and Organizational Management. He is also a state certified Emergency Medical Technician, and has held seats on the Board of Directors with several Emergency Response Agencies.

 

One of which he served as Acting Captain and 1st Lieutenant, Field Training Officer where he prepared and submitted a field training program that was approved by the County and the Operational Medical Director.

 

Mr. Houston has worked on and supervised security details for Gospel Artists such as; Dottie Peoples, The Clark Sisters, Damon Little, The Virginia Mass Choir, Marvin Sapp, Fred Hammon and Ministers Tye Tribbett and Bryon Cage to name a few.

 

God has blessed him to be able to attend various security training workshops. With the training received he has obtained various certifications in the field of security including the title of Security Specialist. From this genesis experience, he was given the vision to teach and train the church body how to start and maintain an efficient church security auxiliary. His continued commitment is to serve faithfully as a servant leader with a spirit of excellence. Studying the dynamics of church security has not only become a passion but also a desire to be an informed conduit for excellence in the church. This ministry first and foremost keeps him grounded and secondly keeps him focus on the value of serving in ministry.
